What's included
What to expect
Warm-up & Theory on the Beach (20-30 min) Introduction to surf equipment (board, leash, wax). Basic ocean safety and wave awareness. Paddling techniques and how to stand up on the board. Practicing the “pop-up” on the sand Practice in the Water (1 hour – 1 hour 30 min) Entering the water with instructor guidance. Learning how to paddle and position yourself on the board. First attempts to stand up with instructor assistance. Posture correction and personalized tips. Catch your first waves and enjoy the ride! Feedback & Cool-down (10-15 min): Review of the session with improvement tips. Stretching exercises to relax after surfing. Celebrate your progress & optional photos!
What's required
You must book your own transportation to the beach, it is about 2 hours away from Huatulco.

Meet your host
I'm Joaquín "Joaco," from Santiago Astata on the Chontal coast. Growing up in Playa La Colorada among local fishermen, I developed a deep love for the ocean. After studying away from home, I returned at 27 and discovered surfing, spending over 15 years as a tour leader and surf guide in the Salina Cruz and Huatulco area. I'm passionate about involving locals in tourism, creating opportunities for our communities while preserving our natural resources. We are blessed to come from this magical place, full of hidden wonders and stunning beauty. I invite you to explore this enchanting region and join us on an unforgettable surfing adventure!
