The tour begins at 7:00 am from your lodging, taking a 3-hour drive to Huatulco, another tourist destination south of Puerto Escondido, where we will leave the coastal highway to head towards the Sierra Madre Occidental where we will pass through communities and admire the true Mexico full of culture and tradition.
We will pass by some coffee farms until we reach the town of Llano Grande where they will welcome us with lunch, some delicious tamales and then we will take a walk to see the magical river of Llano Grande. All the rivers in the rainy season are dyed a brown color due to landslides, but this river never changes its crystalline color.
After swimming we will return to the dining room where they will have a buffet meal prepared for us: chicken mole, white rice, beans, pork carnitas marinated with tamarind sauce, mezcal and the original coffee from the same town.
We will go to the natural pharmacy where we will find natural medicines, oils, honey, sweets and traditional clothing.
We leave back to Puerto Escondido, arriving at approximately 7:00 pm.
Itinerario
Pickup from your lodging – Pickup from your accommodations. Exact pickup time is confirmed after booking.
Drive toward the Sierra Madre Occidental – Travel from Puerto Escondido toward Huatulco before leaving the coastal highway for the mountain region.
Pass through mountain communities – Visit communities and admire a more traditional side of Mexico full of culture and local life.
Explore the coffee-growing area – Pass by coffee farms on the way to Llano Grande.
Lunch and river visit – Arrive in Llano Grande, enjoy tamales, and walk to the crystal-clear river.
Swim in the Llano Grande river – Enjoy time in the river before returning for a traditional buffet meal.
Traditional local food – Enjoy chicken mole, white rice, beans, pork carnitas with tamarind sauce, mezcal, and local coffee.
Natural pharmacy stop – Visit a natural pharmacy with natural medicines, oils, honey, sweets, and traditional clothing.
Return to Puerto Escondido – Return to Puerto Escondido at approximately 7:00 pm.
